Aloha, my name is Kamalei Ah Chong, and I am the founder and creative force behind Omni Sounds.
From a young age, I was captivated by music and driven by curiosity to explore its many forms. Growing up in Hawai‘i, my first connection was with the ‘ukulele—a natural beginning that sparked a deeper awareness of my own musical gifts. From there, I taught myself to play a wide array of instruments, from native flutes to didgeridoo, blending ancient and modern sounds into rich, immersive experiences.
I approach each instrument as I would a new friend—developing a relationship with its unique character and discovering the wisdom it has to share. For me, playing music is a form of meditation, a practice that creates space for reflection, presence, and deep connection. This ongoing journey reminds me daily of the profound role that our connection to the world—and all life within it—plays in our growth and conscious evolution.
Sound is universal; it transcends language and invites interpretation from the listener, allowing each person to engage with it in their own way. My role is to guide, create, and channel this vibrational experience, offering sound as a bridge to presence, clarity, and exploration.
